Elli Carr

Ceramics

Elli is a natural maker, with a deep comprehension of form through a rigorous drawing practice. She makes sculptural ceramic pieces by coiling and pinching clay which is an ancient process offering unlimited forms, giving her pieces a sculptural quality.

Sometimes her pieces appear to defy sense or gravity, which is a remarkable in such an earthy medium.
